Back to Work

Oh, the bliss of pretending I am a SAHM (Stay At Home Mom) has tragically slammed to an end once again! School seems to start earlier and earlier every year, with August 10 marking the start of this one. Now that I am back in the science classroom, I don't seem to have any energy reserves to stay up after putting Boe down. He now sleeps in "Boe Bed" for the first large half of the night and will hopefully transfer well to his own room before college starts!! We really love having him with us, but......

Anyhow, I took him to the local farm for some fun just before we left for our end of the summer trip to Mammoth. Underwood Farms is fantastic! We had a great time feeding the animals, riding the choo choo train and saddling up on a little pony for a ride! Looking forward to the fall pumpkin festival with the antique tractor show.

Summer Just Starting

The weather has been unusually cool this year and our tomato crop has really suffered. Last year I remember taking fresh tomato slices to bagels on Father's Day fresh from our garden. Now, we still don't have a prolific crop and it just doesn't feel like summer. Wonder if I can call in summer starved for the first few weeks of work (we go back soooo early in August). Anyhow, here are some of the happinings that I just didn't get up soon enough.

My birthday at the local (dangerously local) frozen yogurt shop.

Wild yarro from the farmers market in Santa Monica (we went for breakfast on my birthday) and birthday tradition tiramisu from Auntie Amy (mmmmm, yummy, best I ever had).

Father's Day advent calendar from Boe (with help from Mommy)

Summer Reading

Some summer play clothes at the second hand store (reduce, REUSE, recycle)

Brunch potluck playdate with embroydered towel hostess gift

Hop on Pop

Just chillin in my crib with my mama (not like Boe sleeps in it)!

Happy Mother's Day wreath (shocking it is still alive)

Feeling well enough to do some cooking and cleaning!

Smores Crepe from the local crepe truck (they come every Monday and park a block from our house). Boe likes marshmallows!

Swimming with the Kilby's at GramE and GrampE's pool. Auntie Nicole and Uncle Bubba joined us for some fun.

Where Has Summer Gone?

Just after the fourth of July Boeing got really sick! Poor baby could not keep anything down for a whole week; so exhausting on all of us. Now he is back to his cheery self and full of so much newness. His vocabulary has just exploded and he is putting chains of words together to tell us everything. Well, he is usually just telling us about the trash cans and how they dump in the back, too cute!

So, now that our Love Bug is all better, lots of photos to post before I have to return to work:(

Aunt Holly came out and we all went for a seafood feast down in Malibu at Gladstones. The eats and the company were all great, although Boe did not like sitting for so long. Luckily they had a boat for him to ride; no shortage of quarters to keep him happy!

Fun with Friends

Summer is here and it is time to play. Boeing invited some friends over for a rainbow treat. He is my pot of gold!

Creative Play

Because I love to cook, Boeing naturally needs to find something to keep him busy. Sometimes he needs a little help, sometimes anything will entertain him!

Quite the Picasso, yeah?

Who needs toys when there is so much cool stuff in the kitchen to play with!

Salad made from Farmers Market treats!

...and something healthy for Boe!

Grandpa Kinda Day

Kent has been busy moving our water heater to be closer to the house and expedite the hot water intake! Before getting under the house, we headed over to GramE and GrampE's house to snap a few photos of the truck Kent and Dad refinished. The truck was originally intended to be a project and sold when finished. Well, it took forever to finish and even longer to part and post it for sale. When Boeing was a few months old the truck won first place for Best Oldest Truck; great job boys! After the photos, Papa came over to help Kent finish the water heater move.

Water Heater just before move to new and improved spot!

Last Day of School

The last day of the Spring Semester at the Rinaldi School for Boeing was held at a water park. After a quick awards ceremony, the kids suited up and got wet. It was really cute!

The park also had a memorial that Boe was quite interested in
