Photo Shoot with Uncle Bubba

When I was little Aunt Bonnie bought me some real cow"girl" boots. Years (and years and years...) later my mom pulled them from the cedar chest, polished them up, and gave them to Boe; now cow"boy" boots. Uncle Bubba and I took Boe to the local abandoned barn and he shot a few photos. It was a hot day (end of August) and Boe was very cooperative. Funny thing, there was a pretty smashed up "broken blue trash can" that keep him very distracted (we had to take several photo breaks to go and look at it)!

Odds and Ends

Grandparents Day was on the day we celebrated Boeing's family birthday. Little hands make me happy, so I traced and shared.

Radio Flyer from the LA Kids Consignment Sale. My girlfriend Richelle and I bought early bird tickets and had a nice time shopping for our little boys. Lots of shoes and some shirts. The Flyer was a super score for just a few bucks.

I was at the local Salvation Army looking for something cool, and these chairs started talking to me (something like "take me home and make me pretty again"). Anyhow, they were having a half price day, so I listened and took them home. A little silver paint (coupon) and fabric remnant and they were as good as new!
Before

Feels Like Fall

The weather has really chilled compared to last week's triple digit temperatures. We enjoyed some nice wallow days reading and baking pumpkin cookies, until it gets warm again tomorrow!
Reading with Daddy

Boe loves reading, really! We do not even read before bed much, because we read all day long. Boeing brings books to anyone who is close by to read it to him. Favorites are all of the Richard Scary books we have. His vocabulary is just insane to us, over 300 words with long and detailed sentences. I cannot believe how much he knows when we look at the books.

Decorating pumpkin cookies

I should have known it would lead to this!

Fun Family Day

This past weekend was our school's fall break with an extended four day weekend. Kent had Tuesday off and came up with the idea to take Boe down to the Aquarium of the Pacific down in Long Beach. We had a really nice family day and saw lots of really neat marine habitats. Boeing especially liked the fountain in the enterance! A few weeks ago we spent a family day riding bikes down on the beach path in Ventura. Sadly I did not take the camera on the bike, thus no photos!

Are they making eye contact?

Touch tank, cool!

Almost as cute as Boe, almost!

Score, they had boats too!

Boe is not smiling because he just had a fit when I handed the camera over to have someone take our photo. Lately he does not want anyone taking "mama's" stuff. It gets so bad someone cannot even clear my plate away! Jeez!
