Bedroom Make-Over

I have been scheming a new bedroom design in my head for some time now. When it finally all came together mentally, Kent was put on retainer. We worked it out so that he could stay locked up in the room all day while I played with Boe. It took three days, but he got the second window closed up (part of my design, it is/was North facing, so no real light loss), the closet paint stripped, ceiling and walls painted. Sadly, I just realized there are no real photos of the old room, just a couple Kent took for our home inventory insurance file (don't even ask).

Old Room

Transition

No photos of the new room yet, still more to be done. It took some persistance to find a designer to order the wallpaper I had to have, but it finally arrived from London and is awaiting it's hanging. Funny thing is, when I finally secured the purchase, the Iceland Volcano eruption set off a major delay in air traffic from Europe. Anyhow, it is finally here and I can't wait to see it up! Photos to follow soon.

Future Barista?

Making coffee in the morning with Boe on the hip has really paid off. Seems Boeing has made some good observations and can whip me up a cup of joe, sound effects and everything, all by himself. Look at those lips, too cute!

It was State Testing at work and I made myself get all caught up on grading. My sweet reward was a blissfull block of time to craft while the students bubbled quietly. I had seen this cute felt watch on another blog in February under crafts during "Month of the Boy." Maybe Boeing will be a future watch model, then again, maybe not. I had a very difficult time getting him to stand still and pose for my photo.

Robot Playdate

There are too many cute ideas for parties and too many neat things to make for them. So, I decided to have a robot themed playdate with robot shirts, coloring books and even robot music to dance to (Midnight Star-Freekazoid Robot and Styx-Mr. Roboto). The kids seemed to have a good time, as well as the mommies!

Table and Flags

We mommies like to eat! The pizza bread is from a local Italian deli that my mom used to go to when we were kids.

Coloring books I made in Photoshop to go along with some crayons I made the kids.

Inside the coloring books I made a page with each of the kids names. Our little group always enjoys playing together and it is fun watching the kids becoming friends.

Dancing to a little robot music! How cute are Boe's little slippers (Hawaiian style)? He finally let me put them on between his toes.

Three little toe heads. I love how Boeing's arm is around Zack. Poor Sammie is buried and not even visible in the photo.

Somehow they always end up in the bath tub.

Trash Can

Last year my parents went to a Sanitation Open House. Sounds kinda hokey, but they said it was really fun and they even brought home a miniature green trash can. Well, about a year later, the thing has made a reappearance and immediately become Boe's favorite thing. He can even say "trash can" and "trash truck" and do the cutest imitation of the trash truck dumping the trash. When he sees the truck on trash day he is just elated, not to mention how excited he gets when he sees the cans all lined up on the street. I have to document this, because he will never believe me otherwise!

Easter

Didn't get too many photos, but our day was a real nice one. We had a great meal at Nama and Papa Yeager's home and a nice visit with everyone. Boeing and Amy played "No More Monkeys Jumping on the Bed" on her iPhone, he is now always asking (signing) to her to play it with him!

Boeing's First Hair Cut

Finally we found a few hours to fit in a much needed hair cut for Boe. The week was super busy with Kent working essentially seven days straight, but he was able to meet up with us for Boeing's ear infection re-check appointment. First Cut specializes in children's hair cuts and they are conveniently located near our doctor's office. GramE and GrampE were also able to join us, even after a busy day watching Boe. He was a real champ and didn't cry (like his Uncle Bubba did), although he did get a bit squrily having to sit for so long!

Sitting So Still

Finished! Had to make it up into a fauhawk!

Party at the Park

Several weeks ago (that's how far behind I am) we went to a friend's third birthday party. The party was at the park and the weather was just right. Boeing sported his Marvel Superhero shirt in honor of the Spiderman Theme.
